The shooting punctuated what friends, family and co-workers thought was an amicable divorce.
“The violence was out of the blue,” said Greg Riddell, executive director of the Cherry Creek Chamber of Commerce.
Melissa Vance, manager of the Cherry Creek branch of the First Community Bank, was elected to the Cherry Creek Chamber of Commerce and named treasurer in February.
“She was one of those indelibly positive people you come across who are so rare. She was radiant,” Riddell. “The chamber is quite devastated.”
