The Board of Directors of the Alabama Department of Human Resources is meeting today to get some of its questions answered about DHR’s $60 million computer system that still isn’t working. Here’s an op/ed piece about it in today’s Birmingham News.
The high cost and ineffectiveness of the computer system are a continuing source of embarrassment to DHR, including allegations that the department hired former DHR employees to run it without scrutinizing their work or protecting against conflicts of interest.
