That is one thing I must say...what SD says about me doesn't phase me anymore. I still despise him for his actions to date...but what he says is insignificant. His opinion of me just doesn't matter...

If your x was happy with his life, he would either be happy that you've moved on or he just wouldn't say anything about you. You have worked hard to be where you are today. You own that. He is stuck in resentment and regret which he expresses by making negative comments about you. You don't need to defend yourself against anything he says. Remember the saying about explanations...friends don't need them, enemies won't believe them. Don't let him steal your joy. You earned it and you deserve it.
