My niece is riding a bicycle (with a group of other riders) for the "Relocation Ride" (Trail of Tears) started in Georgia and will end in Tahlequah OK.   A 1000 miles, they rode 72 miles yesterday .  She was able to see some of her ancestors old homesteads.  Awesome!  They are in Farmington today.  Anyone know about the ride?  Let me know k.  She posts on fb everyday.    Smiley

where is GA did it start? and are you familiar with the "Major Ridge home" also called "Chieftains"?

this home was owned by my great-grandparents and my grandfather and his brothers were born here. they lived here until my grandfather was a teenager. We've had several family reunions here and will actually be here for another one soon.
