Lee’s Mission Statement

To find value in living – I will

  • Anchor my life in honesty, quality, and service to others, particularly those who don’t have power.
  • Learn something new every day.
  • Remember that everything important in life grows out of relationships: family, faith, generosity, and close friendship.
  • Emulate the admirable qualities I see in others: dogged pursuit of excellence, commitment, patience, and selflessness.
  • Recognize my strengths and develop my talents as a communicator, a philosopher, a counselor, and a quick study, all growing out of a deep sense of security in who I am and why I am here.
  • Continue laughing at myself; after all, I do some pretty silly things.
  • Acknowledge humbly that I am a recovering glutton who struggles every day – and often fails – to control his weakness for food; that I can be lazy and disorganized, and that too often I pass up chances to show people how much I care about them.
  • Strive constantly to turn these weaknesses into strengths.
  • Envision myself becoming a person:
    • my family knows to be loving, patient, and sensitive, even though sometimes a bit crazy.
    • my clients know to be insightful, caring, and professional, and sometimes surprisingly creative.
    • my friends know to be generous, dependable, and fun.
    • my Lord knows to be a faithful servant who realizes how much he has to learn.
