Nice report this morning in the Talladega Daily Home about The Children’s Place in Pell City. It’s designed to provide shelter and a sense of home to kids who are physically and sexually abused.
Recognizing as it does how brutal the process of investigating abuse is to its youngest victims, the center sets a goal of asking a child to tell his or her story only once. As so many other agencies do, the Children’s Place is planning to cut back its services because of state and federal funding cuts.
