You’ve already heard about the Army’s rising divorce rate. Now today comes word that the Army is reacting to the stinging negative publicity with a series of programs designed to strengthen marriages. Here’s the Army press release on it.
The press release mentions Divorce Care and Divorce Parenting classes, something called Army One Source that sounds like an employee assistance program for military personnel and their families, Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Program (PREP), and Building Strong and Ready Families (BSRF) program.
It’s not clear from the news release whether any of these programs are new or just existing programs the Army is re-promoting in response to the rising divorce rate.
