Here’s a new family law blog for Maine from Alan Nye in Portland. Right now he’s using it to provide basic information (“What is spousal support?” and “Can I prevent my divorce?,”), but I’m sure he’ll soon get down to talking about current developments as well.

New Family Law Blog
My new friend Grant Griffiths in Cloud County, Kansas has just launched a new family law blog. Here’s Grant’s blog, which will focus on Kansas and national family law issues. Welcome, Grant!
Lee, thanks for the mention. I will be getting into more current developments once I provide lots of basic information for folks in Maine.
Al Nye
i have a question, please email me back. can i use information that i got from putting a monitoring software on my spouses computer? if damaging, will i be able to get out of pendent lite support?
The whole idea of a blog is to share information, so I’m not going to e-mail you. Whether you can install monitoring software on your spouse’s computer and use what you learn in court is a matter of state law; in most states, the practical answer is no.
I know of no state where a parent can escape child support because of the other parent’s behavior, but there are many states that may rethink spousal support because of behavior issues.
