My name is Lee Borden. I used to tell my age here, but I got tired of updating it as I got older, so now I’ll just say I was born in the fall of 1953 and let you do the math. I’m a white male and a recovering glutton. I am a divorce lawyer and subsistence farmer near Tallassee, Alabama. I am blessed to love my work.
If you want to learn about my family, you can check them out. If you want to know more about my professional background, that’s here too. And if you want to know about the farming part, there’s no end to the information available about it on LongleafBreeze.com.
If you want to reach me, I prefer you use e-mail, and you will almost always get faster service by e-mail.
My practice at the Alabama Family Law Center is limited to divorce for couples who are able to be reasonably cooperative and want to stay that way. My revenue comes from uncontested divorce and coaching, in that order.
I practice in a one-person shop. I have spent thousands of hours (and a great deal of money) developing systems that allow me to be thoroughly responsive to my clients’ needs even though I do not have a staff. I also work some really crazy hours!
If you want to, you can also find out why I do this work (the divorce part, not the farming part). You can also find out the Stuff I Need To Remember, which is sort of what makes me tick. I’ve also posted my Mission Statement here, if you get into that sort of thing.
United Methodists for most of our lives, Amanda and I were active when we lived in Birmingham at Vestavia Hills United Methodist Church for 30 years. Now that we live in Elmore County, we are members of (and expect to stay active at) Episcopal Church of the Epiphany.
I’m a white liberal, one of the most liberal people I know. Amanda is more centrist.
Alabama Family Law Center is a private law firm. It is neither a public legal aid agency nor a section or subcommittee of the Alabama State Bar. No representation is made that the quality of the legal services to be performed is greater than the quality of legal services performed by other lawyers.
