Divorceinfo.com Network Lawyers

Why I’m Doing This

I need quality information here about each of the 50 states and the District of Columbia, each of the provinces and territories of Canada, and foreign countries. I could try to gather it myself, but I wouldn’t do it justice, and I would probably never be able to convey the local knowledge that’s so important as you’re going through divorce. The solution: the DivorceInfo Network Lawyer system.

Reasons To Be a DivorceInfo Network Lawyer

If you’re considering applying to be the DivorceInfo Network Lawyer for your Designated Area, here are the reasons it might make sense for you:

1. It gives you prime access to users who need your service. This site gets more than 25,000 page views a day from all over the world. I invite you to link from your pages on DivorceInfo to your own home page, which should increase the traffic to your site.

2. It makes you part of a network of like-minded professionals whom you can consult from time to time about local issues in their Designated Area.

3. It signals to your clients, colleagues, and the community that you are on the cutting edge of technology and customer service.

4. It doesn’t cost you any money. I don’t need your money. I need your expertise, and so do DivorceInfo users.

5. You would be the only one in your Designated Area. I can’t promise you that you will always be the DivorceInfo Network Lawyer for the Designated Area. What I can promise you is that as long as you are, you’ll be the only one. Because I’m not gunning for revenue, I don’t have to sell all your competitors on signing up with me. All I need is one good lawyer in each Designated Area.

6. You would own the copyright to all the materials you provide to me, and you’re welcome to use the materials in your own practice, even on your own web site if you choose. You would give me a non-exclusive license to use the materials on the DivorceInfo web site and to make them available to users for downloading and printing for their own use.

7. You can quit any time. Because I must insist on the ability to end our relationship at any time, I think it’s only fair that you have the same right. If this is not working for any reason, all you have to do is let me know. As soon as practicable, but certainly within a week, I’ll have all your information off the site and our relationship will end. I’ll probably ask you why you want to stop, but you don’t have to give me a reason if you don’t want to.

Reasons Not To Do It

1. It’s hard work. As you can see from the Sample FAQ’s I would be asking you to answer, you would be putting in a great deal of time and effort to organize the information applicable to your area so it can be used here on DivorceInfo.

2. You can’t rely on it to be permanent. Because I’m so particular about the content of this web site, I must insist on total editorial control, including the right to terminate your status as DivorceInfo Network Lawyer at any time, for a good reason, a bad reason, or no reason at all.

3. You may not want to be bothered with questions. As the DivorceInfo Network Lawyer in your Designated Area, you may be asked from time to time to answer simple questions about the law in your Designated Area. You may not want to take the time to do that.

If you want to make it happen

Don’t start preparing answers to the FAQ’s. If you’re interested in becoming the DivorceInfo Network Lawyer for your Designated Area, the first thing I need you to do is to read carefully the DivorceInfo Network Lawyer Agreement. If you feel comfortable with it, print it, sign it, and send it to me by snail mail at my address as shown in the agreement. I’ll get back to you by e-mail or telephone so we can get to know each other, and then I’ll gather some background information about you to satisfy myself that we’re a good fit for each other.

If for any reason you don’t become a DivorceInfo Network Lawyer, there will be no disclosure to anyone of your application, other than informal disclosure of my interest in your background during my information-gathering.
